Germantown Academy Tinker Lab and Science Classrooms

As part of our ongoing work with Germantown Academy, a PreK–12 private school in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, 1100 Architect created a new maker space designed specifically for younger students. The “Tinker Lab,” as it is now known, is equipped with a laser cutter, industrial sink, kitchenette, 3D printer, and hand tools. This learning environment promotes critical thinking and problem solving through hands-on activities. 1100 Architect also updated the Lower School’s entrance and parent gathering space, science classrooms, and corridors.
